The analysis for precious metals has always been an important part of our business. The variety of materials we handle is virtually limitless, including ores, jewelry, film, solder, anode slimes, dental alloys, electronic scrap, catalysts and a host of others.

Many techniques are used for this work, especially when platinum group metals are involved. We utilize DC plasma, Colorimetry, and even good old fashioned  wet chemistry. We are constantly exploring new methods to make these difficult separations more efficient.

By far the largest number of assays are done by FIRE ASSAY. Fire assaying is the classical method which can trace its origins back to biblical times. While our experience is somewhat less than that, we can point to personnel with over 30 years experience in this technique.
